Dentures
If you find difficulty in talking, eating or even smiling due to permanent tooth loss, consider Campbell Dentistry for your partial or complete denture needs. Dentures are a beneficial service for those missing a few or all of their permanent teeth due to disease, decay or trauma. Adding dentures may also help people who have experienced a sagging of their facial muscles as a result of tooth loss.
Dentures are removable, and consist of acrylic resin, which is a plastic-like substance shaped to fit your mouth. You’ll notice an improvement in both your appearance and function as a result of adding dentures. They also offer help for the following important functions:
Eating
Speaking
Comfort and confidence in your tooth structure and smile
Campbell Dentistry can accommodate those in need of partial or complete dentures, depending on the degree of tooth loss. Partial dentures are available for replacing a few missing teeth or a partially missing arch while complete dentures replace the entire missing arch of teeth.
You may feel some initial discomfort as your mouth adjusts to the dentures. Experiencing a temporary increase in saliva as well as a feeling that the dentures are loose is normal. However, this feeling is also temporary. Your cheek muscles will work to accommodate the new dentures, decreasing the loose feeling. Follow-up appointments with Campbell Dentistry will address any ongoing discomforts or concerns.
